Another hike'n'bike this week saw Megan and I venture up to Skoki Lakes. This was her first time visiting the magical area of Skoki, and she new why this was my seventh time after she saw it for herself. There terrain up here is so inviting to explore, and around every corner seems some new wonder.
We rode our bikes up to Temple Day Lodge, ditched them in the woods, and hiked to Deception Pass. After a lunch break, we continued down to Myosotis and then Zigadenus Lakes, and hiked up to Packers Pass on the return.
Zigadenus Lake is my favorite lake in all of the Rockies. Turquiose blue. A glacier above. The Wall of Jericho above that. Smooth slabs of rock to take a break and have lunch. It has it all.
