We put a twist on this year's Snowpig, turning it into Luxurypig for a change of pace.
The site was a closed campground instead of the backcountry. The walk was less than a kilometer from the truck to the site. We brought luxurious food such as live oysters, bacon-wrapped filet mignon, red wine and truffles for dessert. I even brought in a full size lawn chair - it was heavy and bulky to carry in but worth it for this year's theme!
On Day #2, we went on a foray upstream along Threepoint Creek, stopping at Mesa Butte Recreation Area for lunch. Upon return, we lounged in our chairs in the sun on the frozen creek and threw snowballs at a stone pile that David built.
All in all, this was a very luxurious camping trip and a nice way to mix up our annual routine.
