Konrad and I went out a hike in Kananaskis today. Neighbouring the ever-popular Fortress, Fortress South Peak sees a lot less activity (despite having a lofty summit of 2840 m) and sure enough, we were the only ones today. With binoculars, we saw several other groups heading up to The Fortress.
The scenic approach and amazing wildlife highlighted this trip - perhaps even moreso than the chilly summit.
