O.K., so this was a seriously cold day (-17 Celsius), especially after the +17 degree day at Strawberry Hills one week ago.
We forged a route through the forest along the ridge to the summit of Allsmoke Mountain. For quite a period, we were following cougar tracks that looked to be only a few hours old, but of course, we never caught sight of the cat.
The summit stay was brief, as one needed to stay moving in order to keep warm. We hustled our way back along the 4 km long ridge, ending a fantastic 2017 Super Saturday season.
