Despite what I had read online and in books about Sheol Mountain, I found it one of my most enjoyable scrambles of all time. It is described as a mere outlier of Haddo Peak and not a prime ascent in the Lake Louise area. I, however, found it to be interesting scrambling with lots of hands-on moves up several series of ledges that felt like huge steps. The rock was relatively firm, the access trail has been decommissioned (no crowds here), and the finish traverses a super-scenic ridge...what's not to like?
