I chose Racehorse Peak as the Canada Day outing on this weekend, and Clayton was happy with the choice - this area hadn't been on his radar for a hike and we both really enjoyed the outing.
About an hour into the hike, we came across a steep remnant snowpatch that required care to cross. The benefit to this snow was that peace and quiet were guaranteed beyond this point as ATV's (popular in this area) could not pass.
Higher up, the view was fantastic. The scrambling was easy and fun too. This was a great outing to an infrequently summited mountain.
