On day two of our Fernie trip, we went mountain biking.
I hadn't been on a dedicated, machine-built mountain bike trail before, and was stoked to ride! Several bridges, berms and swithbacks led us up the singletrack to Island Lake Lodge - a veritable paradise in this wilderness setting. But the best was yet to come.
Descending Lazy Lizard with funky ethnic beats playing on a speaker was just pure bliss - the fast, flowy terrain, the Middle-Eastern drum music coming from my pocket, and the lush B.C. vegetation zipping by my peripherals were the definition of living life!
