Clayton, Konrad and I headed out for a late season outing to Stimson Creek Hills. This loop hike provided varying terrain, the weather was mild and the area was quiet - making for an enjoyable trip.
starting outwe hiked through a cool stand of poplar treesthe east ridgethe morning sun welcomes usa hunter's high perchnearing the summitview westwarda little birds nest - this would be quite hidden in the summerwe crossed a frozen beaver pondthis clear patch looked sketchy-thin, but was just as thick as the rest of the icethere's about 4 feet of depth here to show for the beavers hard work
