This was a short day to the summit of Little Arethusa. The weather looked dark at first, but improved as the day went on, providing an interesting mix of sun and swirling, grey clouds.
On the forested approach, we followed the tracks of no less than four wolves. We figure they were there the night before, looking to flush out a sheep or goat in Arethusa Cirque.
This is a great little peak if you have plans for later in the day...we took four hours round trip, including a lunch break. But no matter how short, every super-saturday has a highlight...today being the wolf tracks and the unusual lighting.
