Clayton and I failed to find Lost Lake today. However, the snow made for pretty photos and a definite wintery feel.
The route to Lost Lake is merely a rabbit track , and covered under snow, it is easy to get off course. At the Galatea Creek junction, we followed the wrong drainage course uphill for some time before we realized that we were in the wrong place. Some heavy bushwacking up snowy, forested slopes followed, in an effort to get back on track. After some time, we agreed that Lost Lake would indeed remain lost for us, as we had lunch in a thicket of small trees on an otherwise open ridge. The views from there were a nice consolation prize for missing our objective. Being my 175th Super-Saturday, I wanted to mark the occasion - all the days' photos are black/white exposures.
