Due to the pandemic, Sunshine Village was not running any shuttles to the upper ski village. This meant hiking a mundane 5 km dirt road (each way), but the payoff was great.
The area we were in would normally be besieged by hundreds of hikers - but we had the day (and Twin Cairns) to ourselves. What a magnificent day!
