The annual "Snowpig Classic" winter camping trip ran into difficulties this year due to scheduling and illness among the attendees, so I decided to go solo on a day trip instead.
Starting a fire as well as hiking back in the dark added to the feel of a true Snowpig Classic. This provided a different feel than a regular daytime snowshoe, and was a fine consolation to the usual three day trip.
Mt. Shark, Cone Mountain, Mt. Nestor and Spray Lakes all contributed to the fine views, before the light began to wane and the rich blue hues of twilight set in.
