Clayton and I headed off to South Lawson today. David set his alarm incorrectly, and slept in, so he wasn't with us today - happens to us all here and there.
This hike is a good objective when time or energy are lacking, as it only takes a few hours round trip.
There was some smoke from fires in the U.S., but not enough to hamper views. The smoke was much worse by late afternoon, however.
The larch trees have started changing color as well, which is always an exciting time for hikers.
