Day two. I really enjoyed Avion Ridge. Its sustained views in all directions, variation of terrain, and red Waterton argillite combine to make it one of my favorite hikes. We saw a group of 13(!) mountain goats on a ridge far below us. I've never seen that many at once. Maybe they were Henry's family? They were too far for me to photograph though...Clayton should have some good shots with his fancy camera.
Later on, Clayton rigged up a grill over our firepit, using a Coleman grate and some barbed wire. Cooking steak over a fire using barbed wire...now what's more Albertan than that?
