Megan and I hiked Black Mountain as a bonus hike when returning from a weekend of camping in the Crowsnest Pass area.
The scenic ridge is an off-the-beaten-path venture. We saw nobody else all afternoon. Our route followed the ridgecrest along a barbed wire fence for most of the way. An interesting fact about the old growth Douglas Firs here is that they are estimated to be over 1000 years old!
