This was the first day of a two-day trip to Waterton National Park that Clayton and I snuck in before the snow came to the mountains. Two days later, there was a white blanket over evrything, right down to Waterton townsite elevation. The tourists generally leave after Labour Day, and Waterton is very peaceful at this time. Combined with the spectacular colors and lack of any biting insects, and this may just be the best time of the year to come here.
