For the first time in nine winter camping trips, we had a group of four heading into the bush. This made for a quick and efficient camp setup, and ensured that we had lots of firewood (everyone brought their own ax).
We even brought in a five pound leg of lamb and cooked it on the coals with potatoes and carrots for a nice treat on the first night.
On day two, we hiked to Karst Spring, a local cold water spring flowing from the flanks of Mount Shark.
We enjoyed some warm cherry loaf and banana loaf before calling it a night - a lovely conclusion to our three-day adventure.
