We hiked up Midnight Peak today, and decided to extend the trip over to adjacent Midday Peak as well.
The approach trail was lovely. Higher up, bad weather seemed to be moving in at the summit of Midnight Peak. After a quick lunch, we layered up and hustled over to Midday Peak. The wind was howling and driving fine snow granules at us, but the sour conditions were short lived.
We took a short break at the summit of Midday Peak. We then had to re-gain the summit of Midnight in order to access our exit trail.
The high number of hikers coming up this trail as we walked out are testament to this popular spot.
