Fish Creek Provincial Park never fails to impress me with its varying terrain and habitat, considering that it sits squarely within the city limits of Calgary. From beaver-flooded marshlands to old-growth spruce forest to bold little songbirds that will land on your finger, this is truly the definition of an urban oasis. I stuck mostly to the dirt singletrack trails to get around, with the odd bit of bushwacking and even a creek crossing on a beaver dam.
