While the ice carvers put the finishing touches on their sculptures, I drove west to Yoho National Park for some snowshoeing before returning for the award ceremony. Conditions were fantastic with very deep powdery snow. I randomly toured the Cataract Brook valley before circling back toward the highway. I came across the train tracks and followed them for a bit along Wapta Lake. A great start to the snowshoe season.
