A short trip today led us up Johnson Creek valley. On our drive to the trailhead, we saw a grizzly bear across a meadow. Once it had moved on, I went out to take photos of the tracks. A few minutes later, the bear emerged by the roadside and allowed me to get a quick photo before lumbering off into the bushes again.
