Mt. Mann (aka The Battleship) is a scenic little peak near the road in southern Kananaskis Country. The sting in the tail with this peak is the chilly ford of the Highwood River at the beginning and end of the hike (or less chilly and much higher in the summer, if you prefer).
We had gorgeous weather on this outing, and this easy peak allowed me access to the top, becoming my 200th summit in the Canadian Rockies!
Upon return to Calgary, I had a special $200.00 bottle of wine to celebrate...2008 Chateau Pavie Decesse. Megan made oxtail pappardelle to match, as well as a congratulatory list of summits as a wall hanging. Thanks, Megan! xo
