I have never seen such a discrepancy between online trip reports and reality as I have with The Turret. The bushwacking was steep then gnarly for about two kilometres. Once out of the scratchy forest, the views opened up and we were rewarded with some hiking and scrambling in fine surroundings.
At the summit, our stay was shortened by approaching weather. We descended to the forest and bushwacked again, although it was easier going downhill. Rain then started in earnest - I doubt Konrad will ever leave his rain jacket at home because of a good weather forecast again!
