Muleshoe is a steep trail that climbs through montane forest in Banff National Park. It served as a nice poor-weather option on this day, as the clouds were low and the view limited. The trail was in good shape for the first half of the ascent, but then faded into oblivion amongst a tangle of downed trees. The swirling fog produced and eerie effect, but was quite relaxing at the same time, and kept the crowds at bay - we were the only ones on this trail today.
