Megan and I headed out for a hike in Osoyoos, B.C. while in the area to taste some wines.
The Osoyoos Oxbows are an ecologically significant area for the amount of migrating bird habitat it offers. Formerly, the area was dredged for a canal, leaving the oxbows obsolete. Rehabilitation efforts have since improved the habitat here - right in the middle of Canada's best red wine country - bravo!
