I went back to Mt. Fullerton to take care of some unfinished business from three years ago, when Clayton and I had to turn around short of the summit due to the fact that I had to work. Well today I had no work - just beautiful, beautiful nature.
Evidence of the June floods was seen in several places of washout and cutbanks along the trail.
This mountain has a long approach and, judging by the summit register, sees less than a dozen ascents per year.
There is a fine view from the top, with larger peaks to the west and prairies to the east. High elevation snow marked the first day of fall.
