Mt. Pringle has an obscure trailhead that is quite non-descript and really in the middle of nowhere. En-route to the summit, we crossed four barbed wire fences for a total of eight round trip. Have you ever tried to cross a barbed wire fence in snowshoes? It's a delicate procedure.
This small mountain boasts an approach through varying habitats ranging from marsh to cutline to forest.
Of course, the name makes one think of a famous potato chip, and sure enough, both David and I surprised each other with Pringles at the top. We enjoyed original and sour cream and onion flavors while sitting in a sunny patch protected from the gusty Chinook winds.
Judging by other trip reports which show the wet and boggy nature of this trip, I figured it is best done in the winter when the ground is frozen.
