Megan and I went for a short hike along the Hector Gorge Trail on our way out to a friend's cabin in B.C..
Shortly after starting out, we crossed a lovely bridge over the Kootenay River where we would have lunch on our return. Upon reaching the Vermilion River, we saw evidence of a former bridge that had washed away. The trail swung north from this point and continued into the forest.
This trail is evidently seldom used judging by the overgrowth and the VERY subtle trailhead...but we enjoyed the solitude on such a nice sunny day.
