In the mood for a bike ride, Megan and I headed to Nose Hill Park in north Calgary. The park is basically a huge hump with a large flat top, spreading out a few square kilometers. Of course, this means that from wherever you park, there is a steep grunt up to the plateau above - but also a nice speedy finish back to the parking lot.
I set up some small obstacles for Megan to practice her mountain bike skills like popping the front wheel up, balancing while stopped, etc.
Good weather and lots of other friendly bikers who said 'hi' as they passed made for a very enjoyable day out in this large urban park.
