The weather forecast called for rain and unstable conditions, although Lake Louise had the best outlook, upon close comparison. Clayton and I settled on a shorter hike (6-7 hours) to Big Beehive and the Devil's Thumb - two successively higher bumps overlooking grand surroundings. The weather held up and we enjoyed views of swirling clouds, with temperatures cool enough to ascend in without getting overheated.
