I went to Brown-Lowery for a bonus little hike since the weather was so good. Sunny skies with unseasonably warm weather called me to visit this little provincial park for the first time.
At the trailhead, there is a box for an optional $5 donation - well worth it for these well-maintained and signed trails, not to mention the numerous little bridges over creeks and benches at the Lookout.
There is a nice network of trails weaving throughout the park. I took the peripheral trail clockwise starting at Chickadee, then Red Willow followed by Pine Hill, Lookout and Wildrose West Trails. All told, it added up to about 7 or 8 km.
The terrain is quite varied, especially considering the small area the park occupies. I will be back in the spring to check out the other trails.
