A lovely day with no wind and warm temps here. The route starts by the popular Marble Canyon interpretive trail, and continues north beyond the canyon into the Tokumm Creek Valley. This area was swept by a large wildfire in 2003 as the trees show. The signs of recovery are mostly covered up by the snow this time of year. Aside from 3 ice climbers, we saw nobody on this Monday outing. The climbers were getting set to rappel into the canyon when we walked by, and were on the canyon floor beginning the ice climb when we walked past on our exit a few hours later.
