We went for a mountain bike ride to Mockingbird Fire Lookout today. The drive was long and dusty, but the ride was worth it. We crept up the steep hill in low gear, knowing that having a bike on the way back would provide huge dividends.
We ate lunch at the top and the friendly lookout attendant even came out to say hi.
