No doubt, this was the windiest hike of 2012...the name doesn't disappoint. I almost had my camera blown out of my hands when taking the rock cairn photo in this set.
This was a loop hike along the undulating ridge to four successive high points before dropping through the forest on the return leg. A short jaunt through some frozen bog and we were back at the gravel road. Luckily, as we emerged, a pickup truck was driving by. We flagged them down and jumped in the back bed, saving a 2km trudge to our parking spot.
